Clinical Supervision and Consultation

Welcome to Erickson Clinical Supervision and Consultation. I offer relational, person-centered supervision for clinicians at different stages of practice, including those working toward licensure. I also partner with organizations and practices to provide external supervision - supporting clinician growth while easing internal supervision demands and helping systems remain sustainable. In addition, I provide fitness-for-duty and occupational evaluation services focused on assessing functioning, risk, and readiness to work.

About Me

I’m Sarah Erickson, a licensed psychologist in MA, GA, MI, and WI with two decades of experience providing clinical care and supervision in outpatient and higher-demand clinical settings. Throughout my career, I’ve been drawn to the spaces where clinicians pause to think - about their work, their professional identities, and how to remain grounded and engaged in complex roles.

My approach to supervision is relational and person-centered, grounded in the belief that growth happens best in non-judgmental, trusting relationships. I strive to create spaces where clinicians feel safe to speak honestly, reflect openly, and bring forward uncertainty without fear of criticism. I work with clinicians at different stages of practice, including those working toward licensure, offering thoughtful guidance that supports both clinical development and professional identity.

Additionally, I partner with practices and organizations that need external supervision in order to reduce internal burden and support their clinicians more sustainably. This includes providing supervision for unlicensed and early-career clinicians, as well as remedial supervision when required by licensing boards or places of employment. This work has deepened my appreciation for the complexity of clinical systems and the importance of ethical care, access, and staff sustainability.

At the heart of my work is a deep respect for clinicians and the responsibility they carry. Whether working one-to-one or in collaboration with organizations, I aim to create supervisory spaces that feel steady, humane, and thoughtful - places where people can slow down, think clearly, and feel supported in their work.

One of the things I enjoy most about supervision is supporting people as they grow in confidence and in how they understand themselves as clinicians. I love watching supervisees find their voice, trust their clinical instincts, and feel more grounded over time. I also believe learning happens best in relationships that leave room for curiosity, flexibility, and humor, and I value laughter as part of staying human in this work.

Outside of work, much of my joy comes from my family. I’m a parent, a partner, and a devoted pet person, and time with my family keeps me grounded. I’ve recently taken up soccer for the first time, which has been a helpful reminder of what it feels like to be a beginner and to grow through patience and practice.
